Preparation:
1 lb .firm tofu (Wildwood brand is high in protein) cut into 1 inch cubes
1 lb. yam cut into small cubes
2 oz dry Shan Yao (Chinese yam: Dioscorea opposita) broken into small pieces
Steam above for 10 minutes.
Blend in blender or food processor with 2/3 cups rice dream.
Per serving add one or more of the following:
1 Tblsp Udo’s Choice essential fatty acid oil or flaxseed oil
1 Tblsp freshly ground flax seeds: adds essential fatty acids and helps soothe tissues
1 Tblsp nutritional yeast: increases the protein and vitamin content
1/2 tsp green powder (barley or wheat grass, etc.) aids the immune system
1 Tblsp molasses unsulfered aids the blood
Energetics of just the pudding:
Supports the Stomach and Spleen invigorating the yang of the Kidneys, nourishes the Lungs. Helps to lower blood cholesterol and blood pressure. Is a yin, blood and qi tonic.
