Bok Choy: Constipation Relief

Preparation:

5 leaves bok choy:  chop
1.5 tsp freshly grated ginger root:  fine
salt
naturally processed sugar

In a frying pan:  cover the bottom of pan with water.  Place the bok choy inside spacing the leaves evenly.   Grate the ginger root over the leaves.  Sprinkle with salt and sugar.  Bring water to boil, then simmer leaves until tender (5 minutes).

Energetics:

Helps to move digesta through the intestines.  Stimulates the sigmoid colon (the “poop-bay”) the lower jiao (hip girdle area). Clears Lungs and sinuses. Moves fluids. Calming and grounding.  You will know this dish is at work when you pass stool and feel a burning sensation caused by the ginger.  Good transit time is 12 hours or sooner.
