Baked Leeks

Baked Leeks with Olive Oil             
6 servings

Preparation:

Wash:

3 large leeks with water after cutting them crosswise every 6 inches and then vertically to get out all the dirt within the layers of leaves and root.

Lay leek pieces in a 9 x 9 inch oiled pan and cover the tops of the leeks with olive oil.

Bake for 45 minutes  until tender.  Serve hot or room temperature.

This dish is very popular in France.
